1. Having the right mindset to run a Online Affiliate Business or a Home Based Business.
First and foremost you have to want to do this venture more than anything you have ever wanted before. You will comit to the project 110% and not let anything stand in your way to be a sucsess!
I know that sounds a bit korny but it's the truth. Running your own business is a difficult task that takes commitment and some serious planning and investment. You need to come into this task with a realistic attitude. It will take alot of work and planning to get your business up and running profitably. If you are comming into this with little knowledge of computers or the internet, you will have a lot of learning to do. This isn't meant to scare you off, it is just a wake up call that is telling you that you have to take this very seriously.
You will start learning from the first step that you take! It dosen't matter if it is the right move or not the only
thing that matters is the fact that you are trying something that makes sense to you. If it works, great you will be making money, if it dosen't work you've learned a vauble lesson and chances are you will not make the same mistake again. You have learned a valuble lesson and are that much smarter then when you started.
You will find that everything gets easier the more that you apply yourself. It is one of the biggest contributors to failure when you start to over think everything and don’t try any new projects. Don’t be afraid to fail or look bad. You will never improve your position if you stall out! Always keep moving forward.
Be diligent about this business and you will make it work sooner or later. Some take years to make their first sale; others make a fortune right out of the gate. The secret is to move forward from where you are now. You will never know or learn anything if you don’t try.
Follow people that are already successful! This is where you will get your best ideas from. Take a look at the top producers in the field that you are interested in and start looking at their sites and how they structure them. Sign up for news letters from some of the leaders in the industry and begin learning from them. Read their ad copy and their articles.
We know that they are making money right now and their time is not wasted on poor quality work. Put your own personal touches on your articles, advertisements and sales pages along with the basic structure that these folks use and get them out there on the web in various forms. If they work great if not at least you have a starting point to edit and restructure from.
Remember it is all about sales. What was it that got you excited about this type of business? Chances are you read or saw something that really got your juices flowing. Do you remember what it was? Do you find yourself getting lost in all of the great and enticing copy that you come across? Are their certain things that you are passionate about and want to purchase all of the time? Of course you do and so do thousands and millions of other people.
There is nothing wrong with buying information, tools or products. This is part of the learning process. Every course or product that you purchase will make you a better marketer. Just the content of their advertising is worth a fortune to your learning process. Just don’t lose focus that you have to be selling something to make money. You can’t just spend all of your money on other people’s products.
I have found all kinds of great products through this process and still use some of them to this day. I do make it a practice to become an affiliate and recruit enough people below me to pay for my products and make a monthly revenue stream. It doesn’t matter if it is a health product, a cleaning product, something that you make or an information product. You can and will make monthly income from any of these. This is actually a great way to start out; you can use all of their pre-made websites and advertising packages to start experimenting with. Just don’t get carried away and get overloaded with to many before you start making money.
Keep your goals in focus. I would like to think that everyone will eventually have their own information product to sale. This is where you will really find your independence and if it is good information you will have many customers that will want to buy it from you. You will be able to produce it for next to nothing sell it for a reasonable price and help others with it all at the same time. This is when you will see the serious money that you seek.
Or you may find a fantastic product that is produced by someone else that offers a great incentive for you to sale it for them. Believe me there are plenty of people making fantastic incomes from affiliate sales and MLM organizations. What ever the mechanism is you have to start trying them before you will make any money!
